MANAGEMENT
Professional Management Provides the Key to Success
Maintaining Professional Standards requires setting goals, collaborating with colleagues, and implementing highly qualified performance. Included below are samples of documents that verify a variety of experiences stating my certified accomplishments and the evaluations of my professional attributes.
Graduate Student and Educator
Reference Letter from NCU Instructor
A letter from my Northwest Christian University Instructor is anticipated. This reflects the skills and abilities developed through the terms I attended while achieving my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Technology Design. This letter identifies my graduate student accomplishments and it identifies my ability in designing alternative learning strategies in building curriculum with respect to research and development. It will also reflect mastery of my educational analysis using appropriate teaching techniques in planning, implementing, and analyzing desired learning outcomes.
Professional Educator
Reference Letter from Supervising Principal
While teaching at Veneta Elementary School applying my technology skills has increased my use of evaluative data measurement from participating in a two year technology district wide grant. These skills are needed to implement and support our Title I School Goals. These needs have inspired me to earn my Master's Degree to increase my professional abilities and gain credentials that verify my mastery of curriculum design and instructional technological. These skills are needed to meet the needs of 21st Century Learners. Development and utilization of a team teaching approach continues to improve language arts and math instruction. Which is largely due to an amazing staff working diligently together creating an optimum learning environment. Our community support has been tremendous and our staff has embraced the value of families making their impact on education successful.
10 Year Service Recognition
This 2009 Certificate of Recognition of professional contribution [teaching] reflect my ten years service teaching students in The Fern Ridge School District 28J. Prior to that I began my teaching career in Bethel School District, Fern Ridge School District, and North Douglas School District budget crisis have been an issue in all of these districts have made teaching position scarce in each of these districts. My desire and aim was to teach in my home the community. Teaching in Fern Ridge is fulfilling in many ways. Accountability to the families of our students and the community for the success of our students is vital to me.
Supervising Teacher
Included here is a document that verifies my supervisory role in mentoring practicum and student teachers from the University of Oregon. Mentoring and supervising multiple students acquiring their teaching credentials in middle school and elementary schools has been fulfilling. This included working with the University of Oregon with several studies and grade levels while collaborating and guiding student teachers and specialty science facilitators. Several of the practicum teachers I supervised and guided were attending Pacific University Education Programs. The past few years I have concentrated on team teacher collaboration with supporting teachers new to the third grade level.
Test Administrator
As the requirements are updated each year, I am required to receive many types of training that certify me to teach and participate in specific programs. One document is included that verifies one of these specific trainings from the Oregon Department of Education as a Test Administrator.
Professional Development Units
Each year I am required to invest time participating in professional development designed to keep me current with educational advancements and in setting student achievement goals. These hours are often spent in addition to the hours I am employed by the Fern Ridge School District and often at my own expense. In order to maintain my certification in Kindergarten through ninth grade (if 9th grade were in a junior high setting), I must meet the hours and proof mandated by Oregon Department of Education in a three year renewal period and paying the required fees for re-certification.
